Design
We engineer the system around your brief, scoped, specified and priced with complete transparency. You'll know exactly what you're getting and why, before a single cable is run. We pre-program your equipment before arriving on site, so delivery is efficient and disruption is minimal.

Deliver
We partner with trusted electrical contractors to handle on-site cabling and hardware to our exact specifications. As one of the final trades on any project, efficiency is everything. We commission every system until it performs exactly as designed then walk you through it at handover.

Support
Control4's integrated platform allows us to resolve most issues remotely with your permission and keep your system updated as new technologies emerge. We build for longevity from day one.

Luxetec was founded in 2025 by Ian Corless and David Vanderspek, two specialists who have known each other since the early 2000s, when both were working on significant Clipsal CBus projects as part of the premium CBus dealer network.
Between them, Ian and David bring over 25 years of hands-on experience across home and building automation, spanning Control4, Lutron, Clipsal CBus, KNX and a wide range of audio, visual and security platforms. Ian leads on business development and client relationships; David brings deep engineering and technical expertise. Together, they’re equally at home advising on a prestige new build or upgrading a 15-year-old legacy system.
Luxetec isn’t a large company. It’s a small, expert team with high standards and that’s exactly the point.

How much does a home automation system cost?
Every project is different. Entry-level smart home systems typically start from around $5,000–$15,000. Whole-home automation for a prestige residence ranges from $50,000 upward depending on scope, size and specification. We provide a full design proposal and fixed-price quote before any commitment is required.
What areas do you service?
Luxetec services regional Victoria and regional NSW including Albury-Wodonga, Wangaratta, Bright, Beechworth, Wagga Wagga and surrounds as well as Melbourne’s CBD and eastern suburbs. Our business model is designed for efficient site delivery, which means we service a wide geographic footprint without excessive on-site time. We’re expanding our eastern seaboard coverage further in 2027.
What brands and systems do you install?
We use Control4 as our primary home automation platform, a premium, globally proven system that allows remote access, ongoing updates and full integration with third-party products. We also work with Lutron, Clipsal CBus, KNX and a curated range of audio, visual and security brands. Ian and David between them have 25+ years’ experience across a wide variety of systems — so we’re well placed to specify the right solution for any project and budget.
Can you take over an existing system?
Yes, this is a significant part of what we do. We regularly take on legacy systems, including older Clipsal CBus installations, outdated AV setups and incomplete automation projects from other providers. We’ll assess what’s there, advise on what’s worth keeping, and design an upgrade path that makes sense for your budget and goals.
Can NDIS fund home automation?
Yes. NDIS home modifications and assistive technology funding can cover a wide range of smart home solutions from basic voice-controlled lighting through to full environmental control systems. We work directly with participants, support coordinators and occupational therapists to specify systems that meet NDIS funding criteria. Contact us to discuss your specific situation.
